My mechanic actually showed me a failed diaphragm from a 2.0 TFSI Audi engine, failed around similar mileage to mine (50k), which he said is very poor indeed. Should last til around 100k. Issue was that the 2 litre PCV is £80 whereas the S4 is £500 excluding labour!
ThoughtI had a wastegate issue, changed it, and turbo, same problem. 06 Audi A4 1.8t runs great. Idles at 800. Smooth. Put in drive, runs great til about 2500, then screeches sounds exhaust/turbo related. Thought for sure a Wastegate. Only makes noise under load/in gear. No lights or codes just loud air escape sound.
